Rollagraph Day 2

Here's my project for day 2 - again, I've used the Leaf Nouveau wheel - this time embossed on vellum with pearl embossing powder...and finished off with some punched retro flowers and ice stickles. This is an easy way to get decorative vellums - in exactly the pattern you want!

And, thanks girls, for the congratulations...and congratulations to you too, Tina! It's a bit of a thrill when you get that email accepting your project, isn't it!

Rollagraph Day 1

Hi Everyone,

After a rather hectic time with being away & all my family being sick, I'm now trying to get back on track!

This week, we are featuring the Rollagraph system. This is a great way to do lots of things...very versatile & popular. It comes in standard size and jumbo size, and is compatabile with other similar systems.

For yesterday (sorry, it was done for yesterday, and then I ran out of day!!) I made this really easy triangular box from a piece of A5 card and the Leaf Nouveau wheel. It's tied with a piece of magenta organdy ribbon and is a very popular make and take project. Of course, you can use whatever wheel you like best!

Don't forget to go and see what the other girls have been making!

PS...the card I made the other week - with the blue/green background & the Love & Cherish stamps - has been approved as a make & take project with Kaszazz...yeah!

So Sorry...

Now, (because I was lacking excitment & things to do with my time - lol) I have 2 kids with tonsilitis!! You know, high temps, sore throats, not sleeping & wanting to be with Mummy all the time!!! Aarrgghh!!!! Will attempt to get back on track tomorrow...here's hoping, anyway! Ant & Tina - if you haven't got your little parcels, you will have soon.
My apologies for being slack, please bear with me for a little longer!

Kaszazz Conference 2009

Hi Everyone!

Sorry for the lack of projects so far this week...after Conference I'm a bit of a wreck - and my house is worse!

Firstly, Tina has won last weeks projects...if you email me your address, Tina, I'll send those out to you. Congratulations.

Now, Conference was a fantastic experience! I now have faces to match quite a few of the names from the Kaszazz Star & the Yahoo Group. I think there were still people I didn't meet, but 161 consultants, plus the people from the office were a bit overwhelming for someone who, prior to arriving at the airport on Friday knew a whole 3 of the other consultants. I met another 3 at the airport...and once we arrived in Melbourne, it was just constant! We had a great day of retail therapy on Friday, winding up with a horse & cart ride around the city centre - fantastic experience, and I recommend it to anyone who goes to Melbourne!

Saturday, we were into it! 8am start, introduced to the new products by Karen Stock & into the first workshop - the Bella Mini Friendship Album - it's just gorgeous! After lunch, we heard all about how much Kaszazz has grown in the past 12 months and then we had to go beautify ourselves for the big Hollywood style dinner!! During dinner, all the consultants who had achievements in 2008 were called up on stage & presented with a small gift (of product!). This was very scary as I was called up twice - in front of all those people!!! Once for becoming Team Leader and again for being in the Top 50 sales for the year! I think we finally crawled into bed at about 2am!!!

Sunday we got to sleep in - we didn't start until 9.30 for morning tea. First up was another new workshop - Whimsical Love Page & pocket pieces. I really love the idea of using the 6x4 pockets as part of a layout. (and have you looked at Sonia Gibson's A2Z of Scrapbooking? There's a great idea for those who feel a bit challenged in the scrapbooking department!) After lunch we had a guest speaker - Anne Howie, the Party Plan Expert. She was just amazing! She knows what she's talking about and she puts it in a way that anyone can easily understand - and, when you get down to bones of the matter, it's very simple! She was very inspirational!

Anyway, that's the short rundown on my weekend...I will attempt to get my life back to normal tomorrow - after (hopefully!) a good nights sleep.

Don't forget to check out the other girls - there are some fantasic projects there.

Distress Ink Day 4

Running late today...I'm off to the Kaszazz Conference at the crack of dawn tomorrow & I'm trying to pack bags & remember everything!!

Today's card is distressed distress ink! I've crumpled white card and distressed it with Tea Dye, then highlighted it with Walnut Stain & a touch of Dusty Concord. Then I've torn a piece smaller than the front of my card & curled the edges, distressing again with Tea Dye & Walnut Stain. On another piece of white card, I've used a direct to paper technique with Tea Dye to colour the card, then stamped another of the Love & Cherish stamps in Walnut Stain, cut it out, edged it with Walnut Stain & mounted it on the other distressed piece with Magic Mount. Then I took a white base card, edged it with Tea Dye & stuck the piece I made earlier on it with Super Tape. I'm sorry - the scan isn't very good - it's a bit dimensional for the scanner, but the camera is packed!!

Don't forget to see what the other girls have been creating.

And I'm sorry, but I'm not going to promise anything for tomorrow...if I get my packing etc done, I might try to get another project done later, but you'll have to wait & see!

Distress Ink Day 3

Today's card is another variation on the 'make your own paper' style of thing!

As this card has now been submitted to Kaszazz, I've had to edit the instructions! (but...forget the cosmetic sponge I was using - get the new inkblending tool - it works even better!!!!)

Don't forget to go & see what the other girls have been creating!

Distress Ink Day 2

Hi Everyone!

Firstly, all the girls who are involved in the Blog Wars are now listed over at the side of my blog. To visit their blogs, just look down the side panel until you find the list of links. This will save me
redoing the links every day! And remember, if you'd like a chance to win the projects I make this week, just leave a comment! Each week will be a new competiton, so leave me another comment to be in the draw!

Now for the result from last week's vellum competition. And the winner is....Antonella!!! If you email me your address, I'll send those cards off to you, Antonella. (Is there some way I can give you my email address without actually putting it on here? Or is that the best way?...I'm still new to blogs!!LOL)

And thanks everyone for the lovely comments!

This week, as you saw yesterday, is Distress Ink. These are lovely inks and come in a great range of bright & vibrant colours.

Today's card uses a technique I have recently discovered. Take a piece of clear plastic acetate and apply your distress ink pads directly to it. I've used broken china & shabby shutters and just swiped them over the acetate in a wavy motion. Spritz using water and place a sheet of plain white cardstock over the acetate 'stamping' the distress ink onto the card. Air dry, or dry with a heat tool or iron. I then stamped the flower set onto a piece of distressed card using black Vivid! ink (Black soot distress ink would be great...but I don't have it yet!). Finally I have mounted it onto black card. I really love the effect of this technique - the bright colours being offset by the black! I hope you all like it as much as I do!

Good Morning,
Here we go with a new week!
This morning I'm showing you a card I made last year for Father's Day...it's very simple - stamped with walnut stain distress ink on oatmeal card, mounted on white card with brown cream stitch ribbon and a rhinestone for bling!
I haven't got to a winner from last week yet & I'm about to head out for the day, So I'll get to that later or tomorrow.
Don't forget to go & see what the other girls have been doing. Have a great day!

Vellum Day 5

For today's project, I decided to use some of our printed vellum...and the inspiration was my Tay's tantrum. There's nothing like a 3 year old screaming to make you wish for a girly cocktail party!! A piece of 'Girls Fun' vellum has been attached to the base card with eyelets. I stamped 'Sally' with black ancient page, coloured her with Aquacolour crayons & attached her with magic mount. I also added a little ice stickles for a bit of bling. Then I put Tay to bed & plan to sit quietly for a while with a coffee (cos it's a bit early to hit the cocktails lol...still have to get the other kids from school!)
I'm sure the other ladies have something special for you to see. Go have a look at what Keta, Lauren, Fiona & Joellen have been doing!

Vellum Day 4

Hi All!
Today's project is nice & simple! I stamped a piece of vellum with watermark ink using the Curly Background stamp and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then used the orchid pastel fluid chalk to colour over the embossing, let it dry & rubbed the ink off the embossing with a dry tissue. I have then used the retro flower punch trio & punched whale sized out of the embossed vellum, medium from bubblegum bazzill & small from white card. The base card is white card & bubblegum bazzill and I've stuck a rhinestone in the centre of each flower.
I wonder what Keta, Lauren, Fiona & Joellen have been doing today...

Vellum Day 3

Good afternoon!
Sorry, been out all morning & thought I'd better get around to today's post!
This is a very simple vellum invitation. I've printed all the details onto plain vellum using my computer & printer, then mounted the vellum onto bazzill using gold brads and added an accent using the forget-me-not stamp, embossed in gold & cut out. Very simple, but very effective!
Now, go and see what Keta, Lauren, Fiona & Joellen have been doing!

Vellum Day 2

Hi again,
I'm back on track now!!

Todays card is a stained glass technique using vellum! I've used our new Fan Trio stamp, inked in black pigment ink & embossed with clear powder. I've coloured the stamp with aquacolour crayons and an aquash brush. Then cut a hole in the front panel of the card and used supertape to attach the vellum to the inside of the card - it lets a bit of light through...just like a stained glass window!
Check out what Keta & Lauren have been up to!

Vellum Day 1

Ok, I'm late...I do apologise!!! It was one of those days - you know the ones!
Anyway, my first project using vellum is a very simple card using dry embossing techniques. Using a chalking stencil and my bone scorer, I have placed the vellum on an old mouse mat and gently embossed the stencil onto the vellum. Be careful not to press too hard as the vellum can tear. Then I mounted the vellum onto a piece of Bahama Bazzill using gold brads & attached it to a red card base. I have heat embossed the happy birthday from the mini messages set in gold.
Why not go and see what Keta & Lauren have been doing with their vellum!

The Blog War!

Hi everyone!
Welcome to the Blog War!!
Here's how it works...

We are going to have a product each week to use in a different way each day for a working week (Monday to Friday) – and so by visiting our blogs, by the end of the week you should have HEAPS of different projects/techniques to use with the Product of the Week (PoW)!
Leave a comment on my blog under any of the PoW posts, and at the end of the week I will bundle up that week’s projects (from my blog only!) and send it to one lucky poster! If you can’t post, send me an email to go into the draw. Only one comment per person per post will be in the draw, and each week we start fresh – ie to win next week, you’ll have to leave a comment next week! (Please also note that in the event that the winner cannot be contacted (ie have not left a web or email address, I will have to conduct a redraw).

If you’d like to order the PoW or any of our other great Kaszazz products (view the catalogues online) just send me an email!
